On the special instructions of Balochistan Health Minister Bakhth Muhammad Kakar, Secretary Health Mujeeb ur Rehman convened an important review meeting of all Medical Superintendents (MS) of District Headquarters (DHQ) and Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) hospitals. The meeting was attended by senior leadership of the Health Department, including the Special Secretary, Additional Secretary (Primary Health Care), Additional Secretary (Development), Director General Health Services, and other officials.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on ensuring that labor rooms remain operational 24 hours a day, that specialist doctors and trained midwives are available, and that all hospitals are stocked with essential and emergency medicines.
The Secretary of Health instructed all MSs to immediately ensure the availability of required medical equipment. During the session, the Medical Superintendent of DHQ Chaman was suspended due to poor performance. Other MSs were strictly warned that failure to implement departmental directives would lead to serious inquiries and disciplinary action.
